RYE Newsletter Volume 11: Staying Up To Date in Every State

A Message from katie

Hello RYE friends!

“How does procurement work in this state?” is one of the most frequent questions I get as a member of the RYE procurement team. Procurement in the education world looks different in every state. Did you know:

  • The NYC DOE releases more RFPs than any other agency in the state.

  • In California, the procurement threshold has increased from $96,700 to $99,100 to factor in inflation.

  • Illinois spends the most ($13,077) per student annually of any state in the Midwest.

Our team takes great pride in staying up to date with the latest data and research in all 50 states. That’s why we are hosting our Deep Dive webinar series this summer. We’ve gathered state experts from NY, CA, and IL to share insight into their state-specific current purchasing trends, legislation, and processes. During my four years at RYE, I have seen firsthand how procurement has evolved to address changes in federal funding and classroom needs. I am passionate about leading our clients to success through this purchasing pathway, and I hope to see you live at an upcoming webinar or workshop.
