CASE STUDY: CANADIAN CONSULATE

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) helps Canadian companies and organizations of all sizes grow and operate internationally. Their network of Trade Commissioners in more than 160 cities around the globe helps Canadian businesses trade, grow, and succeed.

THE CHALLENGE:

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) is committed to its mission to support Canadian companies to successfully enter both private and public sectors of the EdTech market. The New York and Los Angeles Canadian Consulates trade commissioners needed a thought partner to provide content and structure to help them understand the learning gaps, hurdles, and market standards for international companies entering the US market and create a learning experience that addressed those needs.

RYE was incredibly helpful in helping to guide the vision and implementation of our accelerator. The market and sector knowledge provided by RYE staff is unrivaled, and we learned a great deal from every conversation. Their team went above and beyond for the project, and we are so grateful. Each step was very well organized and executed, and our client feedback was nothing but exceptional.

RYE’S IMPACT:

RYE created a comprehensive six-month accelerator that supported ten Canada-based Edtech startups that were poised to enter the US market. Working in partnership with the Consulate, the Bicoastal EdTech Accelerator provided participating companies with important market insights and a strong knowledge base on the US education market. Within the customized accelerator platform, companies could access ongoing and relevant content and expertise between each of the ten official learning sessions, which covered topics including aligning to public funding, buyer personas, pitch and sales deck development, research and storytelling, and data privacy considerations for US schools.
