R-26/27-02 Credit Recovery

Grade Level: 6-12

The Lee's Summit R-7 School District, which serves over 17,000 students, is soliciting proposals for 2 different types of solutions (6th-12th grade): 1) A teacher-monitored, customizable learning platform and 2) A comprehensive catalog of virtual courses with a qualified Teacher of Record meeting applicable Missouri certification requirements. The intent is to award this RFP for a 3 (three) year term.
The Platforms should let educators monitor student progress and performance, identify areas where students may need additional support, and adjust assigned content accordingly. The solutions should support flexible pacing, targeted intervention, and differentiated learning, while maintaining appropriate teacher oversight and visibility into student progress. These products shall have the capability to translate into multiple languages in both the platform and the supporting materials (PDF, video, additional materials).

Background: Currently, the District has 65 transferable licenses across the District for credit recovery services. The current pricing structure for Teacher of Record courses is $285 per course, per semester. On average, the District
utilizes approximately 100 courses for TOR during the academic year.
