2026-015-IT Turnkey Mass Notification and Paging System Replacements – CAE, EHE, and ESE

Rio Rancho Public Schools, currently serving over 16,600 students, is requesting a Valcom VEIP6K-1 IP 6000 Communication Software/Hardware Package for mass communications at each location, combined with Valcom IP clock/speaker devices. Equivalent systems will also be considered in this proposal. The goal of this system is to maximize communications across the schools while enhancing school safety.
• This system shall replace the existing intercom hardware, serving as the central hub for intercom communications, overhead and emergency paging, class change bells, and emergency alert tones. Additionally, it will manage the distribution of program audio and pre-recorded emergency messaging.
• This system must act as a complete communication system for the building, including classrooms, offices, common areas, and outdoor recreational areas.
• This system must interface with the District’s SIP PBX to allow full access to speakers.
• This system must be programmed to the RRPS IT department standard. Details of the programming will be included in the RRPS Intercom Standard below.
• This system must be tested in the presence of RRPS IT staff before the completion of the project to ensure compliance with the RRPS Intercom Standard.
• Mass communication downtime is strictly prohibited while students or teachers are on campus. Should a shutdown be necessary, the Contractor must provide an interim communication solution across the entire site.
