Coeur d'Alene Public Schools, serving over 10,000 students, aspires to be a "high-achieving district of choice in Idaho and the Northwest" and has been diligently working to ensure high-quality instruction and outcomes for all students.
As the district works to ensure a guaranteed and viable curriculum across all grade levels and schools, it recognize the need for a comprehensive system that:
● Stores and manages district-level essential standards, proficiency scales, assessment items, item banks, and common assessments by grade-level/course ensuring equitable administration for all students.
● Allows the District to create, edit, administer, and maintain its own assessment items, common assessments, performance tasks, and proficiency scales.
● Supports multiple assessment formats, including selected response, constructed response, rubric-based scoring, performance tasks, and other assessment types aligned with the rigor and design of state assessments.
● Provide a comprehensive suite of accessibility and accommodation tools that allow the District to administer assessments equitably to students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and other students requiring individualized supports. Provides reporting that is timely, meaningful, and actionable for teachers, students, parents/guardians, building administrators, and District administrators.Supports the identification of appropriate interventions, enrichment and instructional next steps by providing clear student progress along a continuous learning pathway.
● Allows assessment results and reporting to be shared across classrooms, schools, and the District to support collaborative Professional Learning Communities and districtwide instructional decision-making.
Students, parents/guardians, educators, building administrators, and District administrators should all be able to use assessment results to make informed, achievement-focused decisions that support student learning and growth.
